Alright, so I do not have a screenshot or output file for this one. But, I thought I would post a thread about it anyways in case it happens to anyone else or it happens again to me.
I was playing in the canyon, I had been playing for probably 30-45 minutes, I had built up a nice little settlement with shacks and a little bit of everything down. Survivors were trickling in from the edge of my screen.
I was at a point where I was running low on resources and it was hindering my ability to build. So I thought I would build another scavengers hut ( I only had 1 at the time), when I clicked on the hammer and then went over and chose the scavengers hut, it flashed briefly on the screen like I was going to place it, and then disappeared.
Now, that would not have been a big deal, but when that happened it also glitched out most of my mouse controls. I was unable to do anything with my mouse pointer other than move the screen and select survivors. I could not choose any of the buildings, I could not select the hammer to try to build anything, I could not scrap resources. I could not change the game speed (with the arrows clicks, + and - worked fine) Nothing. I hit ESC to bring up the menu, and I could not even choose any of the options on the menu. I was unable to save my game at this point and I was actually forced to manually close the game from my desktop. Unfortunately, I had not saved prior to this issue, so I lost everything I had done up until that point.
If it happens again, I will record it and post to YouTube to show what is happening. I didn't think of it when it happened, I just knew I wouldn't be able to adequately show what happened with a screenshot.
Is there a debug menu that we can open with a shortcut key to show any errors?
For instance, in 7 days to Die, if I press F1 it brings up the console command menu which will show me any errors that have happened, allowing me to pinpoint what is going on at the time the error occurred. Just a thought.
