As I mentioned in the last dev blog, Atomic Society will launch on Steam at some point in September.
From September onward, you'll only be able to access the game through Steam.
Everybody who buys the game before Steam will be sent a free Steam code next month.
After that you can keep playing the game on Steam without any interruption and receive all the benefits of playing on Steam like easy updates, etc.
I will probably send out the Steam keys a week or so before we actually release, when we've decided what day to launch on.
I'll post the clearest instructions on how to claim and use your Steam key code next month, when they're available and I know what I'm doing. We won't leave anybody behind so don't worry, you can't miss out. Special Edition customers will still be able to access their bonus rewards like the soundtrack and adding their name to the game after we launch on Steam.
Please note we will only be sending out 1 Steam code per purchase. Keep that in mind if you've been sharing the game with others! If your friends or family claim your code, we won't be able to help you.
New Customers: If you buy the game between now and the September Steam launch, you will still get a copy of the pre-alpha to play today, and a Steam code next month.
I hope that makes sense for everybody. And thanks to our pre-alpha backers for helping us to get to this huge milestone. You've kept the lights on for us during the past 2.5 years and we're really looking forward to the next phase of development on Steam, with the much greater ease and convenience it provides for us as devs, and for players.
Cheers,
Scott
