To the creators of this game: This is a great game. it's exactly what I needed! I have been trying to find a game just like this for far too long.
What I like:
1. Resource limits. It makes for a hard choice when something must be trashed to make room for something I really need. Do I keep my hard to find wood, or the water?
2. Atmosphere. Like only a few other games, you've nailed this on the head. This game feels both depressing and hopeful. Well done!
3. Threat of attack. I haven't played long enough to be attacked but I like knowing it is coming. I hate spending resources on guard towers that produce nothing, but I love needing to!
4. Having an identified leader. Many games like this do not have a person to represent the player. I like seeing "me". BTW, can my leader die?
What I hope improves:
1. Moving around the map. It seems scroll speed is controlled by distance from the ground. it would be nice if this could be ironed out. Also, on the same note, when I use the "zoom to base" button, my camera angel moves. This can be frustrating when it is difficult to adjust.
2. More in-depth. It's early release, I get it, but I'm really excited to see how this story plays out. I think the possibilities are really great!
3. As I am sure you've heard before, running out of places to scavenge is frustrating. Maybe this is intentional? It is a bigger decision to use that piece of wood when you know there is a limited amount available. So, I like that the game isn't endless. By the time you've got everything working, your out of supplies. Maybe a trading option could prevent too many supplies from being available, but also allow for a trickle of supplies in late game?
4. Unexpected/random disasters. Once I've scavenged everything, built everything, and have a stable town, it needs to be destroyed. I need a radiation storm, or acid rain to wreak havoc. Not to quite destroy everything, but to require a complete reassessment of my otherwise successful strategy.
5. Reactive citizens. I made death the punishment for everything! I was hoping the citizens would riot. The vegetarians would burn the cattle farms, the LGBT would burn the church, or the druggies would raid the storehouse to steal meds. It didn't happen. I can't be a benevolent leader or evil tyrant if nobody cares...
