Title says it all, remove unnecessary busy work. What do I mean by that? When you start a new game you are plopped into a spot with your avatar and a bunch of settlers. The issue is thats all you have and because there are no construction yards or salvage camps or whatever, the player has to do few chores before they get to the actual city building part. You gotta find a building, give the order to convert it to a storehouse, drag your avatar over because nobody else can build it due to lack of construction buildings, look for a salvage spot, drag your avatar over there, collect that salvage which can either take a few seconds or up to a minute depending on what the RNG gives you, then drag your avatar back to the storehouse, plop down a construction tent and salvage collector, and build the first one with your avatar (and probably the second one since you're in the neighborhood anyway). If this was meant to teach the player about controlling their avatar then fair enough but after the first round of it, I know how the avatar works and I dont want to do this all over again every time I start a new game. If it could be made so that every new game starts off with a storehouse with maybe a few resources, a salvage tent thing and a construction yard, that would let us jump into the city building without having to complete a list of chores first.

Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate you taking the time to write it out.
Before we start streamlining the opening, let's see how thing go when saving and loading is in. In theory, you shouldn't be making a brand new city very often at all. By the time the game is complete it will take several hours to "max out" a single city, by which time you might enjoy starting from scratch again as you won't have done it very often at all. At the moment, I definitely agree it can be tedious because every time you play the game you have to do the same thing over and over again. Saving and Loading is a big priority of us right now.
I also want to make salvaging more interesting in itself. Random events, rare items, etc. That should spice it up a bit too.
