Comments On Atomic Society So Far Here's a few comments on Atomic Society I've found.
These are all from people who bought the game themselves, voluntarily.
There are also plenty of Youtube videos out there.
"If this is a sample of what the game's going to be like, it's a must buy. If you like this type of game it's a must buy... Of this type of game it's the best I've seen by a long way." - British Curmudgeon (Youtuber)
"Just a heck of a lot of fun to play, it feels like a hybrid of some classic games, and I am dating myself with these references, but I liken it to mixing Caesar III, Black and White, and Fallout 4." - TheCelt (via Steam forum)
"The game is worth every penny. You want to pick it up. If you are into city-builders, town-builders and things, this is the game for you. It is awesome." - PaulsLey, (via Youtube)
"Just bought the pre alpha last night... i have played the game for 7 hours... i just love the game tho its easy to play a game you love for a while." - Glassnerd57 (via forum)
"I played this game for quite a couple of hours so far yesterday and all I can say is WOW IT IS FUN! This is how fallout shelter was supposed to be!" - Stevo (dev blog comment on Steam)
"I got the Special Edition a few days again and now I cant stop playing this game. I am sure that when the final version is released it will be a truly remarkable game and one I will be playing for many many hours. Thank you dev - great design - great game" - JD (via IndieDB)
"Thanks for a great game... Intuitive UI and a straight forward tutorial to get me started eased me into this gem of a game. Loved the ambience and style, made the struggle worthwhile and I am looking forward to struggling some more!" - Rich S, (via email)
"For a pre alpha the game is ridiculously stable, 0 crashes in 10+ hours of play (only bought it a few days ago)" - DataForged (via Steam forum)
"I am enjoying it so far! Good amount of randomness... Overall the difficulty is absolutely playable, sustainable in-game, and fun!" - LostAncients (via forum)
"Really enjoyable. I like it a lot. Played 5 hours until I realised I was playing for 5 hrs haha! Great game keep the good work! This will def. be good!" - E.T Roy (via Facebook)
"They have definitely have the hook and have found the fun." - MerricGaming, (Youtuber)
"It's really fun even unfinished no major game breaking bugs. Worth the money drop if you like post-apocalyptic games." - Me_23485 (via Steam forum)
"I love the game because it's different. It uses the same concept of every other sim game but puts a unique spin on how the game is played." - Brian H (via email)
"Your game was interesting and I played it for a long time. Keep doing great work!" - Barry (via email)
"Great idea, and even in early stages already a good game." - Hvizeu (via IndieDB)
"Holds a TON of promise. Just the fun I've had play testing the alphas has been worth the $20 I dropped... Converting distant buildings to storehouses is great. The art style of the buildings is perfect. Loving that different people have different entertainment needs. And that they have idiosyncrasies that make them individuals... And of course, laws. So much promise." - C. Raymond (via email)
"I love the game so very much, ever since the update has came out I've been playing it nonstop... I see it having a ton of potential." - Tristain (via email) Please feel free to add your mini review below.

Glad (and shocked) you like the graphics. At the moment the citizens can only do 1 thing at a time. If they're going to bed, but also thirsty, they will walk right passed the storehouse full of water and go to bed first and then go get a drink. We're going to improve this in later versions so they can be a bit more dynamic but at the moment it doesn't affect gameplay that much, it just looks a little odd if you're paying close attention.

*gasp* you spelled my name wrong! *dramatic pose*
lol
DethBringa (not Deathbringa), just gotta drop that "a". Thanks dude.
P.S. Still 100% stand by that. I'm still sooo looking forward to this game when its finished. I know in the future I'll look back and think I'm glad I backed this game and helped out.

Haha fixed! Thanks. I've got a ton of names of Special Edition customers to add to the next version of the game - I'm dreading the typos! (If anybody does see their name misspelled in the credits or game just let me know. It was an innocent mistake and will be fixed ASAP)

Have been following this game for some time now and the current state of play in amazing considering its not even EA yet. Am really impressed with not just the excellent graphics but allso the gameplay is oustanding for it current status. wow guys you should be proud cos I am proud to help support this title.
Now I can't wait for any new updates to come and the release into EA.
I have played 3 different saves in 24 hrs and that has given me a lot of fun. Pls keep up the great work devs.

Scott, i wanted to stop by and say how much i really find the judgement system unique and satisfying for this type of genre and would love to see a community driven workshop added when you all hit steam. Allowing the community to create the visual art for structures while you all work on the back end coding will greatly add to the appeal visually. Expanding the workshop modding later down the road will add so much additional value.

Yesterday I've come across your update videos on youtube and I really enjoyed them. I liked the idea of having to tackle all of these social issues so I bought the game and played it. The titlescreen is really cool, the GUI is nice and I do really like the graphics. For the gameplay I felt kind of unsure at first. I didn't know if I was really supposed to walk for so many days while my people were dying but the tutorial made it pretty clear that I had to. I didn't really get the way the time works because the people move super slow and the time goes pretty fast and so I am the one doing everything. My builders died in the first few minutes and even after I got new ones I still was the one who built almost every structure because I arrived there a lot sooner and I built them a lot quicker (especially after finding some upgrades). My resource hunters were pretty bad too. They often seemed like they don't even care to bring me the resource I've selected so I also was better off without them and went off on my own, running over the mountains in full speed for several weeks and gathering resources. Back and forth, filling up my storage houses all on my own. I never had much problems with water/food/etc. It was fun, although I haven't had much of a challenge (I didn't change difficulty and played the first map). I just placed my buildings and things were good. But then, I think it was after 2 years (right?), those scavengers came and this is something I really did not enjoy. First off, I didn't see them. It was just the dialogue. Then they tell me to change some law. Why? Idk.. but here I started noticing that it really didn't harm me at all. Changing the laws didn't really impact anything (at least I dind't notice any changes). I played at full speed almost the entire time and so the scanvegers came around again pretty fast and it got quite annoying. Just telling me to change a law, give up half of my items or some of my people over and over again. Whenever it was a law I should change I accepted their request and when they wanted half of my invetory I said they should back tf off. Without the towers it was actually pretty harmful to my society but after I had everything covered up and weapons fully stocked (which didn't take that long) I just told them to do whatever they want. They couldn't harm me in any way (but I was sad that I could't see them fighting). From there on I think I've seen everything there is. But I'll definitely check out the other maps and difficulty settings. I'm not disappointed because it was still really fun and the concept with the social issues is really unique but sadly didn't really feel like it had much of an impact yet.

Thanks for taking the time to write out your review/impressions! I wish more people did it. It's incredibly useful info. I'm glad you still had fun with the core game. We've got a lot more to add. The basics of the game are more or less finished now (minus a few bugs!) so we can just spend the next year adding more and more things to do as you build your settlement. Next version (should be out next month) has a whole new religion feature for example. Next version the raiders won't attack you when you're fully protected too. That's something we're working on at the moment. I also want to make setting laws more impactful. I don't think the side-effect system we have right now (e.g. innocent people being executed) is good enough. Got some ideas in store. The raiders are just text for now. Unfortunately on our tiny budget that was the best we could do but I hope it leaves it up to the player's imaginations. Anyway, thanks for getting into the game at this point and sharing your feedback. It definitely helps.
