Just had a thought mate. If you or one of your crew have a read of the story i sent you and you like it, I could always do a short 5-6k word story based on the game. If you like that one and think its good enough, you can always have it to give away as an extra for the Special Edition package.
No pressure whatsoever here mate. Don't be afraid to say no either. I won't take offence.... lol

If people want to write short fiction based on Atomic Society and the ethical/survival situations it presents in a world ravaged by nuclear war where a community tries to reform itself, that's really awesome. I would recommend writers create a new story thread here on the forum and post it in there so that everybody, not just special edition customers, get to enjoy it. It will be fun to read anything that crops up (depending how sick it is!)

Post Atomic Society.docx (11.95 KB) OK this is just a tester to see if people can see this ok. It's the best way i can think of to post my story as if i copy and paste then it gets all scrunched up with no paragraphs. Also it is small text and a pain to read, so i'm using the link to try and sort it. Obviously, it's nothing like finished, this is just a sample of the opening. All feedback and criticism gratefully received. ( as long as it's not abusive... lol)

I think this should be ok as long as people have an up to date version of Word that can open .docx files, and not just .doc files. Not sure what other programs do it but there must be some. I really liked the story so far and would happily keep reading it. Keep it going! Great job! :-D

Just a thought... don't worry about writing in any particular order, like one event following the one before. You can write any part of it in any order and have fun editing/changing and knitting it together later. :-)

It's more than adequate to the job and has a save to Word file facility, just never thought to use it. Will next time.

I have zero spare time at the moment due to getting this version for ready for release but I enjoyed that quick tantalising beginning. Looking forward to seeing where it goes next. Clever title.
It might be easiest to write and post the story on Google docs for ease of sharing, that way you can just post the link? Just a suggestion. I haven't tried it so can't say for certain.
