I got to the step where you move your character by the WASD keystrokes. The game crashed to the desktop and I did not have a save due to that reason.
Will send the other file needed.

Well, so far, in the first ten minutes I have had two Blue Screens o' Death, and a game crash that left an error report.
One of the BSoD's was a page fault error, while the other was an unknown error.

Sorry to hear that you're having crash issues. You're the first person to ever report a crash with the game.
We'll look over the log you sent us (thanks for sending it via email by the way!) and I'll make a post here when we know more about what's going on. At first glance it appears to be your copy of Windows not the game itself but I'm not the expert on these matters.

Thanks for the quick reply. On to more bughunting!
Two more Blue Screens o' Death:
1) win32K.sys
2) dxgmm1.sys
As a note, all of these BSoD's are for different things, and at different times in the game. The last one occurred just after I saved the game. I had just converted my first ruin to a storage facility.

Nick, I appreciate the quick response.
I looked at those links, thanks BTW!
1) The problem is that my system is rock solid. I never have a BSoD except when I run this program and another game called Clockwork Empires.
2) I used the Windows Updater and it said my windows version is up to date. I also checked and there are no other updates pending, required or optional.
3) I checked my video drivers and they were also up to date.
Now that we have the 'required' driver discussion, maybe we can figure out what the problem is! :-)
I really would like to play this game. It is a genre, Post Apoc City Builder, that I have been looking for!
Cheers, Thor

Hi Thor, hope you had a good weekend Thanks for taking the time to check the driver versions. I'm currently not sure what's causing your problem and as this is the only instance so far, it's hard to track down. However, there are options we can at least try, it will just take time. I'm hoping to make changes for the next version that could resolve it. I understand this isn't ideal but hope you can hang on, we are pre-alpha after all . The bugs you guys report from the wild are invaluable and I appreciate the time you take. If you do play more and get more crashes, it'd be great if you could send those crash logs over to us. BSOD dumps can usually be found in C:\windows\memory.dmp or C:\windows\minidump (check mini dump first). Here's an article about enabling dumps answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-update/bsod-finding-and-fixing-them/1939df35-283f-4830-a4dd-e95ee5d8669d (the same applies in win7). Cheers, Nick.

Cheers, Nick. Nick, I am going to hang on, since I love this genre! I also realize that it is pre-alpha, and even though I cannot play it yet, I am still glad that I purchased the special edition. Even if just to support you fine folks!! I have one more idea to try out. It may be a conflict between the MB's onboard GFX chipset and the videocard. It may be that the two programs I get the BSoD's with are triggering something that the two GFX items are conflicting over. I will keep you informed on how that goes! Keep up the great work, and thanks for the responses! Cheers, Thor

Thanks, Thor! The encouragement and support from the community is really inspiring . Definitely worth trying to disable the integrated gfx and see what happens. In theory integrated and discrete gfx should play nice together but they don't always. Cheers, Nick.
