After over a year's work, one failed Kickstarter, and a whole lot of bug testing. Atomic Society is finally ready for the public. We even launched on time! You can buy your copy, and receive all future updates, (and some extras if you buy the special edition) here: www.farroadgames.com/buy.htmlAs the store page says - anybody who buys the game right now is a brave son of a bitch. This is a game 20% of what it should be. But I've playtested it with people and they've had some fun. You can probably get a couple of hours of fun out of the game seeing what it has to offer. But be cautious. This is the very first release of a team that has never released a game before. If that doesn't scare you it should do. Thank you to everybody out there who has given us the support and encouragement to stick with this through difficult times. Your support means the world to us all. Check out the support section of the forum if you have problems. And you can always email me directly, anytime, at farroadgames@gmail.com Always happy to help anybody. We want people to enjoy the game after all! Can't wait to see your feedback. Scott, Nick, Nani & Adam

Congratulations! My first impressions? The menu creates an absolutely haunting atmosphere, your atmosphere game is top notch. Only the loading icon (the radiation symbol) could use a bit higher resolution in my opinion. A few ideas for the gameplay: I only played for like 10 minutes, but what I think would be practical is a way to pause without going into the menu, so you can still look around and think about what to do next without the days ticking away. Also, when you build a building it would be very useful to see how much of the resources you have in storage compared to how much is needed. From what I've seen there are quite many resources, and I've got nothing against a higher level of resource complexity - but it would be neat if I wouldn't have to go and check my storage, close it and compare it to the building requirements when I build something There was a bug in the beginning where played with enabled tutorial and my controls didn't seem to work, but when I restarted the game and played without tutorial it worked fine. Anyway, I'm going to dig into this and report back here in the forums with more observations (like I mentioned, only 10 minutes in right now). If you ask me, that's already a very good start. I believe in you guys. Edit: A 14 year old girl killed some dude and I wanted to know who it was - is it possible to find out who someone is who is dead? I can't really click on him. Would be nice for the story-effect

Would be nice for the story-effect Thank you for such rapid feedback and purchase. Damn, I'm just glad you have been able to play the game let alone explore it. Well done on being a brave pre-alpha player. Definitely agreed about the resource cost thing. We have so much obvious stuff to add at the moment. Added "this is the reason this person died" is a top thing I want to add to corpses as well. Keep the observations coming. We're all eager to fix any bugs we can work out. The beginning of our post-apocalyptic society on this forum has just begun. I would just love to add random bios to people one day. (One distant day). A 14 year old girl who kills an older man and you can read randomly generated bios for them both. Gonna be so good.

People Die So Fast might be the new name for the game. Keep taking those notes. Might take us a while to address them all but we're definitely interested in hearing them all. You are the first to give us feedback. Looking forward to dealing with it over the next few months. :-)

Okay, not sure if it is bug or not, but the day-counter doesn't reset for me with a new game.
It is not really obvious if there is an inventory limit or not. If there is one, some sort of weight limit like "10/100" or something like that would be useful.
A small thing with the pathfinding: Sometimes when walking, the character randomly rotates on the spot for a very short amount of time. You were probably aware of that, it's just one of those rough edges, but I wanted to point it out anyway.

Should be in by the next version (it's 20 items at the moment). Twitchy, weird animation is definitely known about. That's also been worked on right now I think. We'll look into the day counter not resetting bug. That's an odd one! Thanks for the info.
