Hi,
It may seem a bit quiet around here after the mad rush of new players discovering us last week. Rest assured that's just because we’re already working hard on the version of the game so there won't be much to report for a few weeks (we’ve already added 2 new minor features to the game in the last few days alone). The forum may seem pretty quiet.
As I’ve mentioned before, the focus of the next update is going to be saving and loading, but we’ll chuck in anything else that gets finished in the meantime. Not sure when that will be but hopefully not too long.
I will post in this thread when we have a clearer idea what the patch notes will consist of exactly.
Thanks again to all our new players. We're looking forward to improving and expanding the game for you all.

Sounds great, I've pointed a few people towards Atomic Society. Looking forward to see how this game will grow over the next 12 months.

Hi everyone, I thought I’d give you a little look at what’s been put into the game over the last few weeks. This isn’t a proper dev blog/patch notes, just a sneak preview. New stuff goes into Atomic Society on a daily basis. The biggest task, saving and loading continues at a good pace. Here’s a gif of it in action to prove it works (I did make a cut to avoid making a gif of staring at a loading screen). Apart from that, credits have been added so we finally know who made the game and can add the names of those people who paid for the special edition version. If you bought that version but haven’t contacted me yet, please email me at farroadgames@gmail.com to add your names. A new functional building has been added, the crematory (here you can see the work in progress model for it). Gameplay-wise it's fully functioning already we’re just re-designing the model. It will help keep your town free of dead bodies. There have been a few UI improvements in recent weeks that I’ll go into in more detail later but one particularly useful one is that you can now click on dead bodies to see what killed them. Should help with town planning. We’re also now working on letting you delete items from the storehouse if you have too much junk. And finally a new map is almost ready to go into the game. It’s just undergoing final playtesting. Floodplains is a tricky map to build on due to its small size but I like the nocturnal, watery atmosphere. That’s some of what has gone into 0.0.5 so far. There have also been a lot of bug fixes and other gameplay tweaks that area direct result of the great player feedback people has been emailing me with (keep the comments coming on here or via email). I’ll post more complete, detailed patch notes as soon as I feel confident they’re accurate and keep you all updated as soon as we have something substantial to say.
